Oppdaget og surfet for første gang på 80-tallet. Saltsteins historie er rik, surferne her er mange. Bli kjent med Saltstein og østlandets perle her.**Saltstein ble surfet for første gang mot slutten av 1980-tallet, og har i flere år vært windsurfernes og bølgesurfernes mekka. Fra en sped start med Ivar Eidsten Trondsen som en av pionerene, går det nå nesten aldri en menneskeløs bølge forbi. Vel, først må du finne veien. Saltstein ligger like ved Oddanesand Camping, helt presist på Mølen. Parkering skjer i sørskauen, og det er ikke lov å kjøre helt ned til spotten. Det er ikke lenger lov å parkere på Oddanesand Camping, og om du tar beina fatt gjennom campingplassen: Oppfør deg pent. Ikke skrik og skrål. Smil. Vær hyggelig. Og ja – ikke skift inne på campingfolkets toaletter og dusj-område. Når funker Saltstein? Stort sett året rundt. Best på et realt swell og med fint lite vind. Trodde du virkelig vi skulle gi deg alle detaljene? Nei, sånt må du finne ut av selv. Stort sett mye folk i vannet, men jevnt over god stemning. Crowd faktor: Høy. Her surfer du omtrent aldri alene.
